Veja X Greg Asner - Capsule Collection - Available April |

Veja X Greg Asner - Capsule Collection - Available April
How gorgeous is the print on these Veja hi-tops? And it's not just any old print, it's inspired by the forest carbon mapping work of Stanford research professor Greg Asner. Flying over the Amazon (where the very ethically-minded Veja rubber soles are sourced) in a tiny single engine propeller plane, Asner uses a special software and laser system to produce maps measuring the forest's biomass (how much carbon is locked up in the trees) with the aim of evaluating the impact of deforestation on tropical eco-systems. Check out one of the maps below. All in all, an incredibly cool collaboration. The trainers are available from April at ASOS and at two of my favourite boutiques, Islington's Diverse and Stoke Newington's Hub Shop as well as Glass Boutique. Make sure you check out the very sleek Veja blog, I've just tumblred one of their gorgeous Lookbook shots :). Also, the French brand is committed to no advertising – the money saved means the farmers and producers Veja works with are fairly remunerated – so show your support by following on Twitter and Facebook.

What I'm Wearing: h by Helen Bullock for Anthropologie - Part 3 of 4 |

What I'm Wearing: h by Helen Bullock for Anthropologie - Part 3 of 4

Yes, I know I look slightly crazed in this photo, but, you know, just trying to mix things up a bit. I love the yellow and blue of this print broken up by the bold black and pink strips. This is a daydreamy creation with a wonderful silhoulette perfect for moseying around the house on a rainy day. It's the Citrus Strokes dress from the new h by Helen Bullock collection for Anthropologie. The shoes are Swedish Hasbeens and the bracelet is Bakelite by, I don't know who, but I bought it in a shoe shop that no longer exists.

See Part 1 with the Sweeping Maxi and Part 2 with the Flower Field Dress.

Jumpers & Jackets by Savannah at nelly.com |

3.11.12

Stylonylon_Savannah Miller @ nelly.com

I got so excited when I saw the first pieces from the new Savannah Miller collection Savannah – menswear-inspired wardrobe staples in classic colours with some nice detailing. My favourite pieces have to be the jumpers and jackets – every wardrobe could do with at least one or two of these, if not all. Plus the prices – around £50 for the jumpers and £150 for the jackets – are surprisingly reasonable, so as long as the quality is good too, then I think this one is a winner. Available exclusively from nelly.com

The Jackets 1. James coat 2. Bernard coat 3. Zora blazer
The Jumpers 4. Marlow jumper 5. Skinner jumper 6. Jerry jumper

Featuring long flowing swathes of fabric treated as canvases for bold abstract colour-bright designs in her SS12 and AW13 collections, Helen Bullock – a Central St Martins graduate who was spotted by Vauxhall Fashion Scout and has worked with Ossie Clark London and Galliano – has teamed up with the print obsessive Anthropologie for a capsule collection launching late November, the 20th to be precise. Rather than screen print repeated patterns (Bullock is not a huge fan of digital or screen printing) all the original artwork was hand-painted and stencilled. Here are the collection illustrations to give you an idea of what to expect. Watch this space for more on the collection pre-launch.
